Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 9, 2026

Introduction

Cleanuply ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Reklit BV. This Privacy Policy explains how Cleanuply handles your information when you use our iOS application.

The short version: we don't collect your data. Cleanuply is designed from the ground up to process everything on your device. No photos, videos, or personal information are ever transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Information We Collect

Cleanuply does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. We have no servers that receive your information. We have no database of user data. We do not create user accounts.

On-Device Processing

All photo and video analysis performed by Cleanuply happens entirely on your iPhone. This includes:

  • Scanning for screenshots, duplicates, and similar photos
  • Identifying large videos and storage-heavy assets
  • Detecting burst photos and live photos
  • Analyzing image quality
  • Calculating storage usage and potential savings

None of this data leaves your device. The analysis results are stored locally on your iPhone and are not accessible to us.

Photo Library Access

Cleanuply requests access to your photo library through Apple's Photos framework. This access is required for the app to function — it needs to read your photos and videos to identify cleanup candidates.

You can grant full access or limited access. With limited access, you choose which photos Cleanuply can see. You can change this at any time in your iPhone Settings under Privacy & Security > Photos.

When you delete items through Cleanuply, they are moved to the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app, where they remain recoverable for 30 days.

Data Sharing

We do not share data with third parties because we do not collect any data. There is nothing to share.

Analytics

Cleanuply includes optional, anonymized analytics powered by PostHog, hosted in the EU. Analytics help us understand which features are used most and where to improve the app. No photo content, video content, or personal data is ever included in analytics.

In the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: Analytics are disabled by default. You will be asked for explicit consent before any data is collected. You can change your choice at any time in the app's Settings.

In all other regions:Analytics are enabled by default to help us improve the app. You can opt out at any time in the app's Settings. No data is collected after you opt out.

When analytics are active, we collect anonymized usage events such as which screens are viewed and which actions are taken. Session recordings may be captured with all images and text inputs masked. We do not use advertising identifiers, tracking pixels, or cross-app tracking. We do not sell or share analytics data with third parties.

Subscriptions

Cleanuply offers optional paid subscriptions managed entirely through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID. Apple's own privacy policy governs the subscription transaction.

Children's Privacy

Since Cleanuply does not collect any personal data from any user, this includes children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit information from minors.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
